Don't have a red wagon, but I can charge it up and it will go for awhile, I don't know about 26.2 miles, but I am willing to bet we could figure something out.

Exactly, well said. I think it's easy to forget about new people when you make the board your own personal hangout....that's what facebook, email, phone, and private messages are for.

Glad you're sticking around!

Ditto what Diane said for me! I apologize for anybody's feelings that got hurt because of our actions, that would never be my intentions!!!   I love all the OH functions, always have since my first OH convention when I was preop. I have traveled distances to be a part of many and will continue to do so. I can't even imagine my life without OH and all the awesome people who are a part of my life because of it!!!
bigg huggs, especially to those hurt by our actions this past weekend, Becky

Surgery was RNY 5/21/07...I can be found on Facebook: anewbecboo or Becky Reddick

Diane and Becky....I'm going to hit you both in one shot because I'm swamped here!  LOL  I don't think you really have anything to be sorry for.  That wasn't the intent of this post.  We all have made special friendships here and we chose to do things privately with those people.  That is OK!!!   We all do it!    I just was wondering what happened to those days of events where everyone is included...and everyone comes.  Those were the good old days I was talking about.  Like the Marathon dinner Diane mentioned.......100 people showed up to support!  I remember my very first lunch I attended....way out here in the valley.  There were well over 50 people that day.  That's what OH was about.  People getting off their butts.....enjoying life.....meeting new people....and offering and accepting support.  We were having FUN!!!!!!!

I agree.  What do you think about Anna's suggestion regarding Universal Studios?
Without struggle, there is no progress.

Sure!  Lunch maybe on the 12th???  After my run.  I've got some OH volunteers driving very far to get to Griffith Park that day so I'm sure it would work great for them.

The only thing with the 12th is that is the date for the Inland Empire Coffee that Katt is organizing.  Maybe you guys can come out there after your run and we can talk about all getting together for the outing Anna suggested and setting a date at that time?

Here is the info that Katt posted on the coffee the other day:

It's that time. It's been over a year since he have had a coffee date. EVERYONE is welcomed. The details are below.

I would love to come, but it's a good 1 1/2 hour drive from where I run, and if I remember correctly, we have a long run that day.....I believe it's 14 miles so we'll be out there for awhile.  You'd be long gone by the time we could get all the way out there.  Plus, I have some OH friends coming all the way from victorville to volunteer for me that day!

I understand but maybe the it would be a good idea to schedule happenings on days when other events in SoCal aren't scheduled so all who want to come can.  I want to come out to as many things as possible, but I also don't want to forgo something I've committed to.

By the way - I know I don't know you but as I was doing my 1/2 hour on the treadmill yesterday I was thinking about you and the other runners on the board and was in awe.  I can't imagine running, it is everything I can do to get to the gym and start that 1/2 hour!
